This light is the High power 54W, one of the brightest led lights on the market. This model light is designed to be installed in a New Pool with 4 Core wire. It is possible to replace older lights however you will need to replace the cabling to 4 core to make use of all the light features. Using 4 Core cable lights will give you much better control over the lights colours and pattern/effects. We have a few different pool light systems available so its important to select the correct setup for your pool. Replacing Old Pool Lights. Older pool lights use a 2 core wire to connect between the light and transformer. The typical power required is 12V AC. This is the older connection method. We have a selection of 2 wire pool lights which would be the easiest/cheapest way to replace the old pool light. If cable and old transformer are in good conditon you can use them in this setup. Check condition of cable. Make sure there is no corrosion. If there is water in the cable this will become an issue down the track. Check old Transformers to make sure it is 12V AC at least 60W. If it is higher than 12V AC it will damage the LED lights. Make sure the new light will cover over the old fitting/bracket. The other option would be to swap the system over to the newer 4 core wire system. The newer system allows much better control over the LED Light. There are more colours. The controllers are modern. This system is alot more impressive and hi-tech. Old 2 core cable will need to be replaced with 4 core cable. Check to see if its possible. Measure the amount of cable required – we can customise any orders. Old transformers using 12V AC cannot be used. This system requires 12V DC. Installing New Pool Lights. For new installations we would always recommend the 4 Wire LED Pool Light systems. This is the newer method of connection. The lights have much better colour and pattern control. This system has the Wow factor. System uses 12V DC. Measure how much cable you need. Most kits include 10m. For larger pools use the brighter led models. Fiberglass / Vinyl / Above Ground Pool Lights. Designed specifically for Fiberglass / Vinyl / Above ground Swimming Pools. It uses a special designed bracket which clamps to both sides of the fiberglass/vinyl/pool wall with sealing o-rings making it water tight. If no one is present, a card will be left advising of the nearest post office or parcel collection point where the item can be collected.
